Course Description
This is advanced level course on electromagnetic theory for PG and final year UG students. This course builds upon UG electromagnetic engineering courses and enables the students to gain an in-depth understanding of electromagnetic concepts, theorems, and analytical techniques. Topics covered include time and frequency domian Maxwell's equations, boundary conditions, wave propagation in different media, material polarization and dielectrics, electromagnetic theorems, wave polarization, waves at planar interfaces, guided waves, Green's function, paraxial wave, Gaussian beam, Goos-Hanchen Shift, plane wave spectral representation of EM fields.
